Creaky Handle
« on: November 03, 2017, 10:00:25 PM »

Ive been refurbing one of my bats and stripped back Ive noticed the handle really (and I mean really) creaks

Not had this before. Its not super flexible but its really noisy.

What does it mean?

Do I need to rehandle it?

sounds like a glue failure and parts of the handle have delaminated. A rehandle will be needed or unbind the handle and see if the delamination is easily treated.

Id use it till it snaps, bats normally perform very well just before the handle goes IMO

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Sounds like the handle inserts are loose.

"Bloody creaky bat handle, I got nowhere near that"

"... but you were caught at cover, mate"

"It. Was. The. F**king. Bat. Handle. Creaking!"
