The odi selections are nice problems to have. The next load of ODIs are after the Ashes. Root will be rested to free up a slot for Hales and who knows about Stokes.

In a month's time there will be the headline "massive ashes boost as stokes is available" with mention of a fine in the small print of the article.

Eoin Morgan is the best England captain since Brearley. Plus he always scores runs against the Aussies.
