Title: Cricket bat development over the years
Post by: Chalkie on February 05, 2020, 07:10:12 PM
I was looking for some information on the development of bat design and found this article. Iím not sure I would class it is as the definitive authority on bat development over the years but it does contain some interesting info.

I particularly like the following statement.

Following on from the Dual T20 (double sided bat), GN have produced another novelty bat called The Edge for 2011. Is this another case of letting the marketing department sniff glue once again, produced a bat with an offset handle position known as The Edge

Anyone else seen other good articles on this (other than the ones on scoops that have been posted here before)?

Most of this seems to be lifted straight from http://allaboutcricketbats.blogspot.com/ (http://allaboutcricketbats.blogspot.com/)
