Has anyone found a really comfortable pair of spikes still with protection from the toe crushing Yorkers? I seem to struggle each year finding something  that won't kill my feet. This year certainly has been hard being in the field 3 hours in the heat with rock hard grounds....

In the end I gave up on the protection part and just thought that if the ones on the market aren't going to give me any/much protection then I am going to want to be as light and comfy as possible = spiked trainers. And it was the best decision I ever made.

I can't seem to find a batting shoe that offers for protection either.  Rather, it seems with each passing year, the efforts to drive down the weight of the shoe leads to less and less protection from blows to the foot.

An excellent example of how a changing playing role (among other reasons) can affect someones career stats. Take the last 3 years and Dawsons wickets per match increases to 1.6.

Wait, you mean he didn't take any wickets in those matches early in his career when he played solely as a batsman, and that had an effect on his average number of wickets per game?
Don't let the truth cloud your judgement of irrelevant stats ;)

In their defence, Leicestershire only lasted 10 balls for 2 wickets this morning, seems that conditions have taken a turn for the worse somewhat today.  Understandable given the weather conditions we're facing at the moment I guess, would be interested to know how many of them wickets were unplayable deliveries and how many were caused by batting tomfoolery.

Just go watch the highlights... judging by them.. awful batting

If you see the reel with Abbas' wickets, mostly looked like it was jagging around, plenty of stumps flying. Fair effort from Dexter though, 1/1 from 7 first innings!

India tweeted that Pandya had an acute lower back injury but was able to stand up. Surely he should be in hospital for scans to make sure there is no serious damage?

Surprised why we have such few options for colored pads. With increasing T20s all around the world, we should have more colored options from the big brands. Good to hear GN and GM are taking steps in this direction, even though limited.

Dawson averages less than one wicket per match in his list a career, so he's not scaring anyone with his non turning left armers. He's merely a fill in in case Moeen gets a knock, Dawson in quite frankly no more that bits and pieces(poor mans Jadeja/Shakib)
