@InternalTraining No, not yet. It would need plenty of knocking in first.
I'm undecided whether to use it or not, to be honest. On the one hand it was made to be used. On the other, it's a classic in rare and perfect nick.
I've added a new chevron grip on top of the old one just in case I do fancy wielding it in anger, though.  :D

New purchase - vintage Scoop 2000

Saw this for sale the other day. It's in pretty good condition, apparently only used for a couple of games before owner aggravated an old injury and ended up retiring from playing, so it has been sat in a corner for past 18 years until he decided to sell. Pretty big bat despite the scoop, weighs in at a hefty 2lb 13.

So got a text from the wife on Wednesday - why has yet another bat shaped box just been delivered? (Cue angry face emoji)!

This is what was waiting for me when I got home - a very nice Kook Damien Martyn Diablo Graphite/Fibreglass bat.

I understand that these are fairly rare, certainly the only one I've seen for sale. 10 lovely grains, edges around 22mm, spine 60mm, no concaving and weighs just under 2'10. It has a little damage but not bad condition considering the age and it has been used. Love the shape and feel of this one, and if these graphite bats weren't collector pieces I would definitely be using it.
