Gear This Week: The Aggot

A flat-sided ball!? What?

Have any of you tried one of these? What are your impressions? Useful or useless?

This is a great tool, when I was younger it was all about the different coloured sides on the training ball to promote a good seam position, this is one stage futher.

You'd be shocked at how many people thought they "hit the seam" when they bowl and after using this realise they are just bowling accidental cutters.

Good for teaching kids swing bowling too.

Only criticism is that is goes soft quickly especially when it's not actually used against a bat.

I assume I hit the seam as I can bowl 6 out of 6 that seam away, and that's what I've intended...

What is the balls effect on bats? Looks to me like it might cause a bit of damage???

It's not designed to be batted against, just for observation of bowling technique...
