Time to join another thread!

So I am knocking the smoking on the vape thread, day 3 and feeling good.

Attempting 'Dry Jan' to give my liver a chance to recover from 10 years of excessive drinking!

Now time to get my body into shape. Not the round shape its currently in!

Looking for some advise and motivation from @FattusCattus and @19reading87 on where to start/how you started.

I normally go well for a week then give up...

If you want to lose the weight, you will. You'll only be cheating yourself :)

Cook fresh food, eat correct and lots of meat,veg and fruit (I don't eat any fruit tho - yuck!!)

great stuff Mark, that's brilliant.

I've started a lot of changes this week too - more exercise and healthier eating. Hoping to drop a stone or two before the new season and keep it going.

I've found My Fitness Pal helps enormously with tracking what I'm eating (which is too much most of the time!)

MyFitnessPal is excellent! My wife uses it all the time when she is cooking so I can just copy from her diary. It links to my apple watch too which tracks my heartrate and any workout I do so I have an almost exact calorie breakdown for the day.
