Small Review - Relentless 5 Star
« on: January 12, 2016, 03:39:02 PM »

Bit of a lurker on here but seen a few people ask about the bat this guy creates and thought I would give you guys some feed back

I picked one of these up after seeing them on Facebook and being local to me as I fancied something a little different than off the shelf. I made a small request of having mine a little lighter than what was available on-line and this was not an issue. The customer service level is great and you get a response with in minutes.

So below on the right is my bat.

The bat flies, there is no doubt about it. The pick up is amazing and it just feels great even when you are not middling or timing the ball. The grains are lovely and straight and no blemishes. I took this straight in the nets after receiving it and could tell I had something good.

I scored over 1200 runs with it last year and I had no issues, no damage and the toe is solid! Not being a player who smashes the ball everywhere and more of a timing player I have never had a bat that the ball flies away with so little effort. There is not a bad work I can say about the stick I received.

Also I'd like to point out how great the customer service is and fast the response you get is. I had an issue when I sent the bat in for a clean up early winter and FedEx some how crushed one side and caused a nasty little bit of damage to the back. I got a photo of the damage as soon as it arrived with him and he said he would see what he could do. When I it back I was amazed, it looked exactly as it did when it was new!

Hope this helps anyone looking at picking on of these up because they are more than worth it!

Dunamis are now based in Gosport, Alex is a great man and has a beautiful vision for his business. They have no expandand and are now differing sports wear at competitive prices! I also recieved 2 bats off these not long ago which i donated to my club for raffling. As one is a junior size i hadnt used it but having used the other one at a 2.14 is was definitely a light pick up despite the low profile! I wasnt told the weight when i recieved them and i honestly thought it was 2.11.

Here's a few pictures

@Walkingwicket37 Im sure they love you to pop in! If you tell him Matt sent you im sure he will slot you in sooner rather than later

Just fancied something different, saw them pop up on Facebook and picked one up. I hadn't really heard anything of them or seen anything and took the chance.

Southampton based but always played out in the forest, currently playing at Lyndhurst at the bench!

Lyndhurst, do you play with Aggs and Otis then?

And thinking back to an article in the paper, did you get a hundred the day Otis made 197*?

Yea that was one hell of a day haha. Otis actually ran me out, he was telling me I was going go big and push for league record. I was a foot behind the line and Aggy still gave it  >:( I think i hit 130 of 50 odd that day.

Amongst other things, yeah. Plus the fact they're an hour away rather than four/five!

Interesting point, whenever I've asked Dunamis about going to visit I never get a reply. As for trusting them, having never dealt with him personally and only seeing a couple of reviews on here I cannot say I know enough to trust him or not.
I have only seen one of their bats in person (and that was briefly, from a distance) so I'd like to have a look at the various shapes they offer etc.
As for not having to go down there if you trust the person, Gosport is  about 20 minutes away from me, so petrol to get there and back would cost less than postage and I'd be able to wave the bats around and pick one on feel. My desire to pop in has nothing to do with trust, more convenience. It seems a shame that I have a bat brand/maker on my doorstep that I haven't visited yet. Maybe one day...
