Couple of CEAT Beasts
« on: July 14, 2017, 05:55:40 AM »

These are some seriously large super dried willow I guess...

Huge edges + spines and very full profiles very softly pressed... at crazy weights!

This one is 1190 grams, 45-46mm edges on the caliper:

This one is 1164grams on the scales... 47mm edges on one side and 44mm on other side :/

Both are standard SH blade lengths and standard width.

I do not understand grammes, and get confused by the conversion. How light is 1164?  Is that 2lbs 9oz?

If you got these from ols then im surprised they reached you ...... a lot of unhappy chappies on facebook dealing with ols atm . It's a pity really , part of me really wants a mega size ceat hitman , even if the dried-to-within-an-ounce-of-its-life willow could explode at any moment . The prices are good , but id get high blood pressure anticipating the mandatory stuffups and delays , and possibly getting 2lb12 when i ordered 2lb8 etc etc .

Now that i think about it , the ceats ive recently seen on ols all have burnt in ceat stampings , so maybe these are from somewhere else .

As shinpathy put in other posts and my own experience, these megasize ones seem to have been and gone. Quite normal size now. Could ask EAS for the specs of theirs (ZX made I think) as I think they are a touch bigger than the one I had briefly but still smaller than these here...

Rahane comes to mind but I think Rohit's bats are this size.

Bought an entry level Ceat Mega gripp from OLS, arrived within three days. Superb bat but dry and has gained an ounce/ half in weight. Stickers are utter rubbish though.
