England dont seem to have anyone who can occupy the crease these days, which is often going to be their downfall in those tests that might be drawn.

Cook, Root, Malan, Stoneman

Bairstow, Foakes,

Stokes, Woakes,

Ali, Crane, Rashid,

Anderson, Broad, Wood, Roland-Jones/Plunkett

Cook, Stoneman, Ali, Root, Malan, Stokes, Bairstow, Woakes, Rashid, Broad, Anderson

With the ability to bring in Wood and/or Plunkett on the quicker tracks and having Crane also available for the spinning tracks. Ali at three as he cant do much worse than Vince I think.
