Hey fellow cricket lovers..
Just went a little bit crazy and got myself a new Laver & Wood reserve bat.. Lol, wanted to order a private bin bat; however, dont know what hit me, went and bought the more expensive Reserve..
Well, posting a few pics on here and would love your feedback on it, have already used it on one net session.
Weight 2.10
Short Handle
Standard Blade
Slight Curve
Round Handle.

I love the look of the straight grains. I need to ask, why do they put the fiberglass tape on the edges of a new bat? It cheapens the look in my opinion, and makes the bat look old and repaired.

Same reason you'd put edge tape on any bat, reduce the risk of damage and increase the longevity of the bat.
