strategy too - they had worked out how they were going to score runs and where they could apply pressure.

You can only beat what's in front of you (a pathetically weak Sri Lankan team).

For once, they actually got the team selection vaguely correct. Three front-line spinners. A few years ago we'd have gone in with Ali + a part-time roller like the totally useless Dawson and got absolutely pumped.

you have a point but rather than concentrate on the opposition, in their own conditions, own pitches and with the wickets in their favour...or so we thought.....let's give a lot of credit to this team for winning 3-0

Doubt West Indies will be any stiffer a test

The recent limelight on their pitch preparation no doubt helped England but it's still a great achievement. You've got to say that selections have been a key aspect too so credit to them for some brave calls (at least compared to recent years)

The last time England toured the Windies, newly elected ECB Chairman Colin Graves called them 'mediocre'

Remember how that panned out?

Won't be surprised if we beat the Windies by an innings in all three Tests tbh. Their bowling is good Roach, Gabriel and Holder a fantastic trio. But their batting is awful.

we usually get one caning over there, so it will be a good test to see how we are progressing.
