Interesting video above and nice response from Edward

You can clearly see how GM don't press for performance straight sets and more longevity from the above video

Indian bats in comparison would be hitting the ceiling

I do think GM are a quality company

Isn't it the muppet conducting the "ping test" that's responsible for hitting the ceiling, more than the bat...

Well I do sometimes wonder why that grey seller most of the bats hit the ceiling

But also GM pressing from what I have seen the bats don't normally spring off like Indian bats and there is a slightly different harder sound

When I bat, it's my bat that hits the ceiling alright. The ball does not  :(

Just had a good look through the new range, partially the Diamond. looks like they have gone on they're fancy DXM computer and searched 'Flare'. they look very similar to me.

Yes, Diamond looks the same as the old flare but with the shortened blade. Flare shape with full blade length and an inch lower middle would have been perfect shape instead. However, I wonder if Stokes will be really using a shortened blade..

The bat he uses will be exactly the same as the ones in his bag now with different stickers.

Yes but does he use a 540 blade

I agree a flare full length with lower middle would have been perfect
It also has no concaving or very little

The Diamond is the same shape as the Flare....drools incessantly over the keyboard.

My favourite bat ever was a Flare and I was gutted when it was discontinued. Not now though ;)

Definitely a petition needed to GM to introduce a full length diamond

Having switched last year to a Neon from previously a Chrome and before that always standard 540 SH blades the transition was effortless and is hardly noticeable. Also personally feel its improved my game. Of course this is subjective and my opinion but think its really all in the mind

If the Diamond is a slightly shorter blade Flare-esque bat... Which itself was Purist esque... I think GM have made my dream cricket bat!!! :D  :D  :D I see at least an 808 in my future, maybe higher... I love the stickers this year @Edward Lowy , my favourite of the recent iterations.

Thanks folks for all your comments, keep them coming!

Would love to take the credit, but GM 2019, the finest cricket range ever unleashed, is nothing to do with me. Stand up Messrs Coffey, Jones, Tebbutt and the inimitable Ms Isherwood keeping all the hopeless boys under control. This is their range and it is beautiful.

All the best

Impressive range! Overall appearance has gone to another level! Can see myself adding a noir and perhaps another haze to my bat stocks. If only the wheelie duffle was available in the stealth black on black :(

Found a deal on the Diamond I like the look of... Do we think a 909 is worth the extra from an 808?
