Looks like one of Paul Aldreds magic handles is broken.

He shouldve put a nail in it...

Seems a bit disrespectful to a team that, up until this game, probably had as good if not, arguably a far better group stage than England. England had their bad days at the right time, and Roy's injury was at a more convenient time. Australia just didn't turn up today, and England had a good day, Simple as that I think.

Englands greatest strength is they weren't carrying players, Stoinis isn't worthy of scrubbing an Australian shirt let alone wearing one, he bowls garbage and couldn't play a kazoo if someone sent one down, and Handscomb, well there's a reason he wasn't in the squad initially.

Anywho, well done England. Completely outplayed us today!
Go New Zealand!! :D

Starc has been good.

Carey phenomonal.

Warner although scored runs, wasnt as destructive as he normally is.
Rest have played bit parts and a lot of players being carried.

Ive onyl watched about 96percent of this tournament. But I remember they had twitchy bums in the games they won against windies, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Non were as clear cut as it looks on the result sheet.

We had a poor period, weather confidence/nerves(joys of being tagged favourites) Im not sure and we lost games we shouldnt.
Australia won the game they should have  but never looked the world class they once was this tournament.

When on form, weve always looked on a different level.

Confirmed that the final will be broadcast on Channel 4/More 4. This team is finally going to have the eyes of the public they deserve on them...

Either way, I'm pretty proud of the efforts we brought after a tumultuous 12 months. Considering there are 4 people who didn't play today through injury that otherwise would have, I think we have scraped together a really solid campaign and unfortunately had our first non competitive day on the wrong day. I'm comfortable with the fact that the better team on the day won.

We discovered a real Talent in Carey, who played one of the gutsier knocks you're likely to see today, and got some good miles back in the tank for Smith and Warner. Onwards and upwards with the talent we have waiting to come back into the side. I think we will be fine. Go New Zealand!  :D

How much do you reckon tickets from a tout at the ground will be on Sunday? Failing that any suggestions of somewhere in London to watch with a decent atmosphere?

I know we played Vince but..... I dont see how we lost to this shower in the group game.

If this was a first inning wed be aiming for 400-450 here.
Amazing really, few years ago who'd have thought that Australia would have no middle order and an 80mph opening bowler! Still can't believe they muck Maxwell around as much as they do either.

England were unreal.

Sorry though, last win of the tournament. NZ to hold it aloft on Sunday. We have played terribly these last few weeks and still made the final. Now all our players will fire...I can dream.

Reckon they should open with Latham and shift Nicolls down - hopefully provide a bit of stability up top. Or send munro out to slog a quick 20

i dunno what anyone else is thinking but im thinking we cannot play that well 2 games in a row  :)

however searching for a miracle and a couple of spare tickets, slight problem with ticket prices over 2 grand for one, options are:

use the joint account and hope she doesn't notice
sell the car, downside I cant get to work
gamble on something 200-1
sell a body organ maybe a kidney or both kidneys

any suggestions welcome

Roy has been fined 30% of the match fee after admitting the offence and sanction, with no formal hearing to take place.

Two demerit points have been added to his disciplinary record. He won't face any suspension.

Lockie Ferguson only real threat from NZ. Bat first, score 400, let Ferguson go at 4 an over. Williamson and Taylor cant block a 400 chase.

Roy got off lightly with that one. Again - no consistency with fines and bans.

Some teams get away with a lot more than others.

Out of interest. What other players got worse for similar incidents?
