I decided to go to the extreme and see what happens. Rolled the thigh guard up like a mat, and wrapped it up with all the straps I had. This is what it currently looks like:

So this worked out nicely. Pads slowly opened up over two days - were still too tight but I fit them on my leg and since then theyve kept their shape. They do tend to (very slowly) Widen out and so am wondering if theyll need a re-bake every few months.. lets see.

Does anybody know if the strap lengths are different depending what size you have or are they all the same? So a small sizes straps are the same as a medium etc

Anyone know the best way to wash these? Left them in a kit bag next to a damp bat cover and went on holiday for 2 weeks. Now, let's just say they can do with a freshen up. Any suggestions? (buying a new pair at that price is not going to happen 😂😂)

You could chuck the originals in the machine. Not sure if these are different
