Message back from GM this morning, the 'Maxi' being sold from SD is indeed a 303. That'll be in the post for return on Monday morning then, not sure anyone would be too impressed with a painted bat in the club kit after club committee promised "some decent kit" for the new season.

Id agree, 70 for a 303 is not a bargain. Could pick up a basically new Signature on eBay for that.

Yeah, that's pretty much my thinking. I may canvass opinion from the club committee and see if a decent secondhand bat would be a better option and see what the budget is. Seems to be a phobia of spending money on club kit sometimes but I reckon it makes a big difference to the casual players having at least half decent kit to use.

I'd go for the 65 G3 slazenger myself, or ask on the forum what people have available for 70. You may be surprised, there are some amazing deals on here
