Fit of a glove?
« on: June 12, 2020, 08:20:51 PM »

I'm just wondering what your opinions are on how gloves should fit, I've always used regular mens and had quite a loose fit, however I've now got some GM OLEs in small mens and they're quite snug. Not sure whether it's just I'm not used to it or I need the size up so I was wondering what you guys think on the topic.

Thanks

I always go for super snug gloves. I can’t stand palms bunching up or too long floppy thumbs. A loose fit just feels cumbersome and you lose feel IMO. The soft fill inside will pack down over time anyway so the snug gloves inevitably get looser with time- better to start a touch too snug IMO

The tighter the better.

I always prefer a snug fit.

Interestingly the area I always struggle with is the wrist. I have small wrists it would seem and need to then do up the gloves a long way round the velcro which can wear out the glove or be awkward to wear.

So it means buying smaller gloves which can then be too small for my hands. Can't win sometimes.

I'm just a bit worried about my hands getting sore wearing them for a long time as my fingers are right at then end of each section. It might just be a case of wearing them in though, they are literally brand new.

My ideal fit would be a small mens wrist but a regular/large hand. I have skinny wrists but fairly big hands, so always have the wrist bands done up as tight as possible on regular mens.

I used to like slightly loose fitting gloves. But I ordered some online and they where super tight and I never changed after that.

So after a few days just wearing in the gloves I have to say the tighter fit feels great now, put on my old regular mens and tried a pair of the OLE gloves in regular mens and it's just felt like there was so much useless space. Definitely happier with the small mens 👍👍 thanks for everyone's comments
